Last year the night before my parents flew out to Michigan for a wedding, I had a dream that really spooked me. The first thing I did was called my mom to talk about it in the morning. In my dream, I was surprised/attacked by a giant yellow snake! I like to think that I’m not a superstitious person but when you grow up always surrounded by it… it’s hard to not be swayed by it sometimes. Anyways I was worried that the yellow snake was a bad omen and that maybe my parents shouldn’t travel. So much to my relief, the yellow snake was a good thing. It’s supposed to mean I was going to be pleasantly surprised. And guess what? Right after I hung up with mom, I got an email from Gretchen from @ediblesofla and fast forward here is our garden in their winter issue!! Long story short yellow snake is indeed a good omen. Avocado squash have been giving us a squash every couple days so far. It’s perfect since they’re quite big and one is more than enough for us. I planted it in one of our @vego_garden bed and the vine spilled over and is now meandering along the walkways around the raised beds.
